The Lord’s Coming – Part 2

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.” (Rev. 1:7)

The Bible tells us that Christ will return, and publicly intervene in the affairs of this world. God will see to it that His Son, who was one publicly humiliated and rejected here in this world, will exalted as King of kings and Lord of lords. “For he must reign” says the apostle Paul, “till he hath put all enemies under his feet”. The time of our Lord’s return to judge and take up the headship of all things is called the “appearing of Christ”.

Today on the Bible Truth podcast, Bill Prost will give a very high-level overview of the appearing, with a focus on distinguishing it from the rapture. If you have any questions on topics we’ve covered, or questions in general that you would like us to address, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

The Lord’s Coming – Part 1

“I will come again” (John 14:3)

“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Rev. 22:20)

The Lord is coming again! His promise is sure. But what form will His coming take? What is the purpose of His return?

Over the next two conversations on the Bible Truth Podcast, Bill Prost will give an overview of the Lord’s coming in two aspects: the rapture and the appearing. Today we will focus on the rapture: the coming of Christ to receive His people unto Himself. If you have any questions on topics we’ve covered, or questions in general that you would like us to address, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

Questions and Answers

Today on the Bible Truth podcast, we cover three questions that have been sent in over the last few weeks. If you have any questions on topics we’ve covered, or questions in general that you would like us to address, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

Substitution

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God” (1 Pet. 3:18).

What is substitution? Can the believer say, “Christ died for my sins”?

Today on the Bible Truth podcast, Bill Prost will give an overview of substitution, the second aspect of the work of Christ on the cross. If you have any questions on this topic, or on what we have covered in the past, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

Propitiation

“And he is the propitiation for our sins; but not for ours alone, but also for the whole world.” (1 John 2:2).

What is propitiation? Did Christ die for the elect only, or did He die for the whole world?

Here on the Bible Truth podcast, over the next two segments, Bill Prost will take us through the two aspects of the work of Christ, beginning today with propitiation. If you have any questions on this topic, or on what we have covered in the past, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

Sanctification

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” ( 1 Thess. 5:23).

What is sanctification? Am I already sanctified? Is it a work that God does, or do I have any involvement in it? What difference does it make if I am sanctified?

This week on the Bible Truth podcast Bill Prost will give an overview of sanctification and its two primary aspects. If you have any questions on this topic, or on what we have covered in the past, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

Justification

Nearly four-thousand years ago a man named Job asked this question: “How shall a man be just with God?” (Job 9:2). Many people do not understand the answer to Job’s profound question.

What is justification? What is the basis for it? What is the means of it? How can a man be justified before God?

This week on the Bible Truth podcast Bill Prost will examine the subject of justification. If you have any questions on this topic, or on what we have covered in the past, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

The Spirit of God

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever…”

Who is the Spirit of God? In what way or ways is the Spirit with us on earth? What is the leading of the Holy Spirit?

This week on the Bible Truth podcast Bill Prost will examine the precious and important subject of the Spirit of God. If you have any questions on this topic, or on what we have covered in the past, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

Deliverance – Part 2

“O wretched man that I am!” Have you ever said those words? Wanting to do what is pleasing to God but not being able to is a miserable experience. Even worse, trying to free ourselves in the wrong way will lead to getting deeper into bondage. The good news is that we can find deliverance, and God has devoted several chapters of His Word to this very subject, for the purpose of helping the believer to walk in the full liberty that He intends for us. This week on the Bible Truth Podcast, Bill Prost wraps up the subject of Deliverance from Sin. If you have any questions on this subject or other subjects, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.

Deliverance – Part 1

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. Every Christian faces the issue of sin after conversion. Many believe the struggle is hopeless, but the Bible tells us that God has not only saved us from the penalty of our sins, but also from the power of sin in our lives. What is the dominion of sin? Are we under it? How are we identified with the death of Christ, and what does that mean? How can we have deliverance from sin? Bill Prost covers these and other subjects in this episode on the Bible Truth Podcast. If you have any questions about the subject or today’s episode, please contact us at info@bibletruthpodcast.com.
